Travel Pillows

There are many travel accessories to make your travel comfortable. Travel pillows have been especially designed for the convenience of travelers. Travel pillows are not bulky or heavy like ordinary pillows. There are many types and styles of travel pillows in the market now – back pillows, neck pillows, comfort pillows, knee pillows, contour pillows, L-shaped pillow and U-shaped pillows. Some of the pillows are made of memory foam, millet, micro beads and buckwheat or inflated with air. . A very good choice of material for the pillows is rolling memory foam. Buckwheat pillows are the most cheapest and popular travel pillows. Travel pillows are light and do not occupy much space.

Outdoor Travel Pillows

For outings to the beach, take pillows made of PVC material. While you use it on the sand, the pillow cover can be removed. These travel pillows are washable and therefore will not be damaged from exposure to the elements. The PVC pillows can be used while traveling in airplanes or trains. For camping, small pillows covered with polyester or else cotton are useful. These travel pillows can also be advantageous with sleeping bags.

Indoor Travel Pillows

Many of the travel pillows are intended to make you as comfortable as possible, especially the part for which it is intended like neck, knee or back.

Inflatable travel pillows need to be inflated with air, only at the time of use. It can be brought back to its original size by letting out air after using. They give great ease by cradling your neck and head and will give the intended firmness and support. The memory foam pillows on the other hand accommodate the body’s weight, height and retain your shape and hence help you to relax instantly on reuse.

Polystyrene bead-filled headrests give uninterrupted personalized support. The pillowcases are of Polyester/Spandex and hence wear resistant. These U-shaped pillows help to keep your spine in a comfortable position and prevent the head from lolling about. These travel pillows have multiuse as they mold the lower back for support and keep the leg elevated. The design of these pillows is so unique that they are useful for both reclining and seated passengers. Another popular travel pillow is the L-shaped pillow. It is designed in such a way that even when you lean on the pillow, it is not dislodged. The outer pillowcase is of soft denim, while beneath it is a cover made of soft polyester.

As the air pillows do not give enough support to your back, use a lumbar pillow compact in size. As these are air pillows they can be kept deflated during traveling. The pillow must be pumped with enough air to keep it soft, yet flexible at the same time. Polyurethane lumbar pillows are cheaper and ideal to use in cars. For lengthy trips, a connecting back with a seat pillow is a great option. A knee pillow made of regular or memory foam is designed to make you comfortable.

Before buying travel pillows, try them out at the shop to see that they suit your body contours. Make your choice only after checking the alignment of your body.
